Vulnerability
GoCD has a vulnerability that lets unauthenticated attackers leak highly sensitive information from a vulnerable GoCD Server instance.
Identification
By sending a specially crafted request it is possible to read the contents of the /etc/passwd file of a GoCD server. All requests that begin with /add-on are not authenticated and let through.
pluginName=../../../etc/passwdDetection
By turning this vulnerability into a traffic file and matching rule, we are able to detect attempts to leak sensitive information.
