The Easy Rules Creator is Microsoft Windows application for writing Snort format rules that will help the expert save time and money, the student learn, and the novice progress quickly.
Writing rules can be a frustrating task, syntax and formatting is error prone when creating rules, or when editing existing rules, and it is too easy to misspell a keyword or leave out important punctuation.

The Easy Rules Creator's form based interface makes writing rules easy by prompting the user with all the available options. Add keywords with a mouse click, and type in content matches and see your rule built in real time. You can test your regular expressions using the built-in Regex tester and save the results back to your rule. You can also check your rule for common formatting mistakes, syntax that could cause performance issues and false positive prone content matches.

How to activate:
Purchase your activation key.
Register a new user account on idappcom.com to access and download the Easy Rules Creator setup installer.
Install and run the application. It will give you an 'idappReq' code that we require to generate your activation key.
Email the idappReq code to support@idappcom.com with your order number and account email address.
We will email your activation key back to you.
