Zyxel VMG4325-B10A is a dual-band WIFI router.


Vulnerability

Zyxel CPE Series could allow a remote authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the system.


Identification

The administrative HTTP interface is vulnerable. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary commands on affected devices, via a command injection. This could possibily lead to complete system compromise, data exfiltration, or network infiltration.

Detection

By turning this into a traffic file and matching rule, we are able to detect attempts to execute arbitrary commands on the system.
